Iran Stock Market, The Road Ahead

In spite of markets registering record highs on a daily basis, widespread sanctions on economic activity and lurking concerns of severe market disruptions characterized the first quarter of the past Iranian calendar year  (21st March 2013- 20th March 2014) amongst even the most optimistic of market participant. However, the post-elections surge in foreign diplomacy in the second quarter culminating in a much anticipated agreement with the international community in the 3rd quarter (24th November) gave rise to hopes about the positive impact that the newly adopted open-door policy could have on the general state of the economy and the capital markets in particular. In “The Road Ahead”, Kardan Insight sheds light on what could be in store for investors by examining foreign policy, foreign currency, growth, profitability, market expectations and market returns as the 6 key parameters  in three plausible scenarios and gives explanations on what impact each scenario could have on each of the parameters.
